Special Economic Zone are special initiative by the Government in partnership with
Private where tariffs and quotas are eliminated and bureaucratic requirements are
lowered so that more companies are attracted to the area. The companies who choose
to establish in these zones get extra incentives for doing business.
Jaipur's location, with proximity to the Delhi and ports of the western coast, makes
it an ideal location for export-oriented industrial development on a large scale.

Most of this passage is already well connected through 4 to 6 lane highways. 40%
of the proposed Delhi-Mumbai freight corridor will pass through Jaipur throwing
up enormous possibilities for development of industrial belts such as special economic
zones along the corridor.
3 SEZs have already received formal approval.
- Mahindra World City
Promoted by the Mahindra Group in partnership with RIICO Mahindra World City, Jaipur
is being developed as a multi-product Special Economic Zone on the format of an
“Integrated Business City”. The SEZ includes exclusive zones for IT/ITeS Companies,
Light Engineering companies, Handicraft, Gems & Jewellery and Apparel companies.
The total area spread over 750 acres (3.0 km2) is under development and has already
attracted top companies such as Deutsche Bank, Infosys, Wipro, Nagarro, Truworth,
Tech Mahindra and QH Talbros among others.
