Albert Hall Museum in Ram Niwas Bagh was built by Sawi Ram singh II in 1868 A.D
as a famine relief project.
Designed by Sir Swinton Jacob, this is one Jaipurs most visible and visited monuments.
Sir Jacob modeled this on the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Albert Hall - The Central Museum
This museum was inaugurated in 1876 A.D by Price Albert and is known for its appropriate
use of marble as well as sandstone.
This well preserved museum displays a vast collection of Indian arts and craft-
handicraft, such as metal ware, ivory and woodcarving, jewellery, textiles, pottery,
sculptures and paintings. it is particularly rich in brassware, for which Jaipur
is famous.
Worlds Largest Persian Carpet
The Darbar Hall in the museum must not be missed. It has world's largest Persian
carpet dating back to 1632. This rare carpet is considered to be the oldest and
the best of its kind in the world.
