Rajasthan And Jaipur Tourism Industry Stats - New Hotels on Horizon
Rajasthan occupies significant place on the world map. This is taking into consideration that quite recently, it was voted the most favored destination of the whole world.
The state contributes about 11.2 per cent and 3.3 per cent share in India’s foreign and domestic tourist arrivals respectively.
In 2008 , Rajasthan received about 1.3 million foreign and 23 million domestic tourists. With an annual tourist arrival growth rate of over 12%, the future of tourism is very promising.
Foreign tourist arrivals have shown a downturn in December 2008. While 5.96 lacs tourists had come to India in December 2007, the arrival was only 5.22 lacs in December 2008. Although the December arrival figure is less than the previous year, overall arrival figure for the whole year has shown a six per cent growth.
